The YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee strives to make an exceptional contribution to adult education in Davidson County and is seeking a director to lead its GED Preparation Program.  The Director of GED Preparation Services will ensure that the day-to-day operations of the program meet the needs of the students and meet or exceed the projected student-centered outcomes.  Bachelor's degree in education with a minimum of 4 years related experience; Master's and professional teaching license degree preferred.  Qualified candidates will possess broad knowledge of adult education, including adult learning theory; demonstrated success in program administration, including supervision of staff and volunteers, monitoring budget and grant reporting; excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency with database management; and demonstrated ability to identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement.  Qualified candidates should send resume and letter of interest to hr@ywcanashville.com or Fax to 615-385-9754.  EOE.

The Vice President of Advancement is a newly created position that reports directly to the President/CEO, serves as a key member of the executive team, works closely with the board of directors and represents the YWCA throughout the community.  He or she will be responsible for business development, fundraising and marketing for the YWCA to achieve strategic and tactical business goals. Functions include:
  • Investigate, develop and manage business plans for alternative funding initiatives through social entrepreneurial and/or revenue generating ventures 

  • Identify, develop and manage opportunities with current and new individuals and organizations to increase the number of YWCA’s strategic partnerships in the community
     
  • Work with CEO, staff and volunteers to develop and oversee multi-year strategic funding plan to address YWCA’s financial goals
     
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of planned giving, membership, and brand marketing partnerships
     
  • Present the mission, vision and services of the YWCA in a strong, positive manner to assure the YWCA is continuously presented as a vital force and resource for women and children in Middle Tennessee
     
  • Work with CEO, staff and volunteers to create an annual marketing plan to support YWCA communication & funding goals and increase visibility of the YWCA in the community
     
  • Ensure YWCA’s communication plan and customer information system are coordinated to effectively reach all YWCA stakeholders
     
  • Serve as key member of the YWCA Executive Leadership Team and represent YWCA in the Middle Tennessee community
Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in entrepreneurial and/or revenue generating ventures, fundraising, marketing, management of staff and volunteers, excellent written and oral communication and business skills, and a passion for the mission of the YWCA. Master’s preferred with a minimum 10 years of progressive experience in business/fund development and marketing.
