Nashville Electric Service was selected as the 2009 corporate honoree. Corporate honorees are chosen based on their commitment to helping women enter the work force and advance in their careers, as well as for providing a positive work environment for female employees.
For more than a decade, the YWCA, through the Academy for Women of Achievement, has honored those whose leadership is a role model for women and young girls. Since 1992, 98 women and 17 organizations have been recognized.
