YWCA NASHVILLE & MIDDLE TENNESSEE HOSTING 11TH ANNUAL WINE WOMEN & SHOES
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 02, 2023) – YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee is hosting its 11th annual Wine Women & Shoes, presented by Regions on Saturday, April 1, in the Karl Dean Ballroom at the Music City Center. This event brings Nashville’s most extraordinary women together to support individuals and their families who are experiencing domestic violence.Over the past decade, Wine Women & Shoes has raised more than $3 million for YWCA to provide safety and shelter to thousands of people who turn to the Weaver Domestic Violence Center in their greatest time of need.“This event is so special because it gives women an outlet to help other women in their community who are fleeing violent homes and seeking a better life,” said Sharon Roberson, president and CEO of YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee.Attendees will spend the afternoon enjoying a champagne bar and tasting more than a dozen wines, spirits, and mocktails. In addition to provisions, guests can participate in a “Best in Shoe” contest and the “Key to the Closet”, filled with dining, spa, and luxury experiences, valued at $10,000. The shopping marketplace will feature clothing, jewelryand, of course, shoes. Featured vendors include beloved partners Kendra Scott, Dress for Success, LOVEthirteen, HerbaLuxe Apothecary Co., Paint the Town by Numbers, and P. For the third year, NewsChannel 5’s Vicki Yates will return to emcee the event. All proceeds benefit YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s domestic violence services, including the Weaver Domestic Violence Center, the 24-Hour Crisis and Support Helpline, Re-New at the YWCA, adult and children’s counseling and other supportive services.
