YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee Hosts 9th annual Wine Women & Shoes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 14, 2021) – We’re hosting a party with a purpose! Join us for the 9th annual Wine Women and Shoes on Saturday, Feb. 20. Be one of Nashville’s most fashionable and fabulous women and don’t miss out! This year’s event, presented by Regions Bank, will be a virtual affair, with guests joining the party from the comfort and safety of their own homes. Proceeds will help fund the life-saving and life-changing work taking place at YWCA’s Weaver Domestic Violence Center, the largest provider of domestic violence services in Tennessee.“Our work is needed now more than ever as we face the dual pandemics of domestic violence and coronavirus,” said YWCA President & CEO Sharon K. Roberson “We rely on this event to raise much-needed funds to shelter and provide services to the women and families fleeing violent homes. We’re inviting those who are passionate about ending domestic abuse and empowering women to come together again this year and join us from a distance to support our critical work.”Toni Francis Davis, Lucia Folk, and Lethia Swett Mann have stepped up to co-chair the 2021 Wine Women & Shoes, which features online shopping, auctions, the Best in Shoe contest, and the chance to win luxurious fashion, beauty, culinary and travel packages. Typically an in-person event that sells out each year, this year’s virtual Wine Women & Shoes will allow an unlimited number of individuals to register, with the option to purchase special packages and keys to the virtual closet and cellar. Also, we congratulate our own Vice President and Community Development Manager, Lethia Swett Mann, for co-chairing this year's first-ever all-virtual activities. Several days of online auction bidding before the live virtual event will help us raise crucial funding to support this very worthy cause.”Regions is signing on as presenting sponsor for the eighth consecutive year. Wine Women & Shoes will take place over ten days and wrap up with a live broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 20.  Attendees will hear stories of survival and the impact YWCA has on our community during the broadcast. The Wine Women & Shoes event has raised more than $2 million to provide safety and support to survivors and their families in Nashville and Middle Tennessee since launching in Nashville in 2013.About YWCA Nashville & Middle TennesseeFor 123 years, YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee has helped women, girls and families in Nashville and Middle Tennessee build safer, more self-sufficient lives.
