NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 3, 2025) – More than 600 guests and 100 volunteers gathered at the Omni Nashville Hotel on Saturday, March 27, for YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s 13th annual Wine Women & Shoes, presented by Regions. Named one of NFocus Magazine’s “Best Women’s Events” for three consecutive years, the highly anticipated fundraiser raised a record breaking $745,000 to support YWCA’s Weaver Domestic Violence Center—the largest provider of services for women and children escaping abuse.
“The generosity of our community is truly remarkable,” said Sharon Roberson, President and CEO of YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee. “With federal funding for domestic violence services facing uncertainty, this year’s event was more critical than ever. Our guests went above and beyond, giving tens of thousands more than last year to ensure that women, children, and families in crisis have access to safety, healing, and hope. Their compassion and commitment make our lifesaving work possible—all while coming together for a fun and fabulous afternoon.”
Attendees stepped out in style, enjoying an afternoon of shopping at the designer marketplace, bidding in silent and live auctions, savoring wine tastings and pulls, and competing in the coveted “Best in Shoe” contest and “Key to the Closet” giveaway.
The event’s Mission Moment was a deeply moving highlight, shining a light on the children who arrive at the Weaver Domestic Violence Center with their mothers, often with nothing but the clothes on their backs. One brave survivor shared her powerful story, leaving not a dry eye in the ballroom. Watch the inspiring video produced by Creative Means, here.
Over the past decade, Wine Women & Shoes has raised millions of dollars to support YWCA’s mission, providing critical resources to thousands of women and children in need. In 2024 alone:
· More than 4,400 calls for help were answered through the 24-hour crisis hotline.
· Over 360 women and children found refuge at the Weaver Center, staying a total of 15,252 nights in safety.
The need remains urgent. As of March 31, 2025, Metro Nashville Police have already reported 2,085 domestic violence victims this year, with 336 women and children transported to safe shelter. In Davidson County, the vast majority of victims are between 20 and 39 years old.
This year’s Wine Women & Shoes was co-chaired by Roxianne Bethune and Meredith Risner and made possible by the generous support of event sponsors, including Regions, Old National Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Alliance Synergy Group, LLC, Chazin, Deloitte, Ingram Charities, HCA Healthcare | TriStar Health, LBMC, Tennessee Titans One Community Foundation, and Wilson Group Real Estate.
