Purity Dairies is proud to announce the 25th Annual Moosic City Dairy Dash, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Metro Center Nashville, located at 2222 Rosa Parks Blvd. This signature event will benefit YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee, the largest provider of domestic violence services in Tennessee. With a goal to raise awareness and funds for this important cause, the Dairy Dash has become one of Nashville's most anticipated charity runs.

YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee hosted its 32nd Academy for Women of Achievement (AWA) celebration on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Music City Center. The event, attended by more than 450 supporters, including 35 previous AWA honorees, recognized seven extraordinary women and one organization for their commitment to empowering women and improving Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee's Weaver Domestic Violence Center and its leadership team of Daffany Baker, Sandra Dominguez, and Tara Morgen, were honored at the 20th anniversary Meet Us at the Bridge event as Outstanding Service Provider. Domestic Violence Awareness Month is just one week away. In advance of this time to raise awareness of the crisis of domestic violence, YWCA Nashville's Shear Haven program is adding two new languages to its training platform - Spanish and Vietnamese.

YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s Family Learning Center (FLC) recently marked a significant milestone as a dozen adult learners celebrated earning their High School Equivalency diplomas.

YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women, today announced it has received a $10,000 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation. As a new school year gets underway, the grant will be used to support YWCA’s Girls Inc. programming in its money management and financial literacy education.

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF) recently awarded YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee a $200,000 grant to support adult literacy.

YWCA will celebrate the 32nd Academy for Women of Achievement in October of 2024. Nominations are open through Wednesday, May 15 for women and organizations who have made a significant impact on our community.

YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee was honored to host ADM Rachel Levine, Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. ADM Levine's visit marked the culmination of her three-day Nashville tour, focusing on the Domestic Violence Survivor Defendant Diversion Program. Led by District Attorney General Glenn Funk, this pilot program aims to divert domestic abuse survivors away from the criminal justice system, providing them with compassionate support.

This initiative, presented for the second consecutive year by the Harnisch Foundation, aims not only to educate but to ignite a collective movement toward dismantling systemic racism and fostering true equity in our communities.
